We are a statewide coalition of environmental justice organizations across California who represent and advocate on behalf of low-income and communities of color, and lead local equitable building decarbonization efforts in Los Angeles, San Joaquin Valley, and the Bay Area.

Our Mission
We work to ensure low-income communities and communities of color benefit, and are not adversely impacted by, building decarbonization efforts in California. Our work specifically focuses on helping people who are Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) who have historically been left behind by investments, and who are at greater risk for negative climate and health impacts.
Our Vision
We envision and actively work towards a world in which all communities can access the full benefits of decarbonization and local energy generation and storage, without any negative consequences. Everyday people are active in decision-making processes about energy services in and around their homes, schools, and work. We enjoy a high quality of life – we can easily afford or access zero-emission appliances and whole-building retrofits without risk of displacement or rent increases, have lower or no bills, and have greater quality job opportunities. In short, our communities are safe and secure in healthy, electrified, affordable, and resilient buildings.
