BEEP works to ensure low-income consumers and consumers of color benefit, and are not adversely impacted by, building decarbonization efforts in California.
BUILDING DECARBONIZATION FOR THE COMMUNITY!
We are organizers and members of environmental justice communities across California who believe that building decarbonization starts and ends with the community.
Statework
Our statewide work aims to incorporate community voices in statewide building decarbonization efforts to ensure state policies and programs prioritize serving low-income, environmental justice communities first and foremost.
Regional
Our regional work builds on both our state and local advocacy work by enabling members of the same general region to coordinate implementation or advocacy efforts at the regional level to maximize the impact of our state work and prevent unnecessary overlapping of local work.
Local Work
Our work is grounded in community relationships and experiences. Through pilot projects, research, education, and access efforts, we advance equitable building decarbonization locally while lifting community priorities in regional and statewide efforts.
